Pastor's Notes

Isa 27

24, Trib’s Devestation, 25, King’s Inaugaration, 26, People’s Celebration, Great Separation. Before dig section…vs 20-21 really continue 27:1…

Vs. 1 Very poetic, God w/ sword slaying great serpent. Imagery of kights. What mean? Well, we know when, according to our interpretation of 6:20-21. Some see Assyria/Babylon.

Are a few passages about mystical Leviathan. Job (3:8) tells us those who curse the joy of life and hate their birth, (suicidal) arouse Leviathan. So, we know he is associated w/ hatred towards life. Job 41 untameable by man and refuses to submit to anyone. Mere earthly weapons are useless against him. He even laughs at man’s attempts to stop him. Any hope of overcoming him is false; shall one not be overwhelmed at the sight of him? His heart is as hard as stone, even as hard as the lower millstone. He is king over all the children of pride. Here is a strange one…Ps 74:14 says that God broke the “heads” of Leviathan and through that victory fed Israel in the wilderness. (Get the idea more than a mere sea creature). Ps 104:26 says he was created by God and only survives by God’s power.

Who is associated with death? Heb 2:14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,, who is impervious to earthly weaponry? Eph 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Who submits to no one and is king of pride? Isa 14:13 For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.', Dan 8:10 cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host;, 1 Tim 3:6 being puffed up with pride is the condemnation of the devil.. Who has multiple “heads” and lives in the sea? Rv 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. Rev 12:3-4 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. . And is a created being.Eze 28:15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. Who is untouchable by man, and during the tribulation shall feel the “sword of the Lord”? Rv 12:3-12 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. "Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." Behind seemingly unstoppable persecution God’s people during Trib. This is part of the victory that Isaiah is talking about. When Jesus returns, Satan bound 1K years…then Rv 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.. Satan will one day lose for good. Leviathan’s destiny is to be destroyed by the sword of the Lord. Let me encourage you, if overwhelmed by his power. Rv 12:11 Overcame 1) Blood of Lamb, 2) Word their testimony, 3) Did not love their lives. Do you want victory over this beast?

Vs. 3 God will protects us. (Psa 121:3-4) He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Good Morning. I am God. Today I will be handling ALL of your problems. Please remember that I do NOT need your help. If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do NOT attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFJTD (something for Jesus to do) box. It will be addressed in MY TIME, NOT yours. Once the matter is placed in the box, do NOT hold onto it or remove it. Holding on or removal will only delay the solving of your problem. If it is a situation that you think you are capable of handling, PLEASE consult ME in prayer to be sure that it is the proper resolution. Because I do NOT sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to lose any sleep. Rest my child.

Vs. 4 Who the vineyard? According JC, any who follow Him (Jn 15:5). No one is going to keep Lord from His vineyard. He is willing to walk right through pain and suffering (briars) to get to His vineyard. Heb 12:2 or the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, Lk 22:15 He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, Jn 18:36-37 Pilate said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.". (bulls and the apple trees)

Vs. 5 Those who oppose have a 2nd. He offers them His own strength. If they will take hold of His strength they will receive peace with Him. Remember Jacob wrestling…Gen 32:24-28 Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!" So He said to him, "What is your name?" He said, "Jacob." And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed."…He won by losing! Hosea 12:3 in his strength he struggled with God. Yes, he struggled and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. Col 1:20-22 [Jesus] made peace through the blood of His cross. He gave us His strength!

Vs. 6 Some people see this fulfilled in the fruitfulness of Israel. Israel devastated by Turks, left barren, treeless, mosquito infested swamps, in 1867 Mark Twain called it “a desolate country”. Zionist movement began in 1890's, began planting millions of trees, draining swamps and is now in top 5 exporters of citrus fruit and flowers. All in a country the size of New Jersey.

I think it’s spiritual fruitfulness of the millions of non-Jews who have become a part of God’s kingdom. Rom 11 For if the root is holy, so are the branches… some of the branches were broken off, and you, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree…Jesus’ kingdom has spread throughout whole world.

Vs. 8 Discipline/destruction two different things. Some children may say, “You hate me!” Not true. Heb 12:6-11 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." But if you are without chastening, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.. When life begins falling apart and fighting a losing battle, we may cry out, “You hate me”, but not true, it is measured for our profit! If trained.

Vs. 9 Sins not covered until idols completely destroyed. Judah never completely rejected God, just added more altars (King Ahaz (2Kg 16) to match the Syrian altar, Manasseh in (2Kg 21), set up Asherah pole, Ezek 8 (turn there).

True forgiveness only from true repentance, wooden images, incense altars and idols in the closet destroyed. Diagnosis doesn’t cure sin. Repentance does: The man told his doctor that he wasn’t able to do all the things around the house that he used to do. When the examination was complete, he said, "Now, Doc, I can take it. Tell me in plain English what is wrong with me." "Well, in plain English," the doctor replied, "you’re just lazy." "Okay," said the man. "Now give me the medical term so I can tell my wife."

Vs. 11 Babylon, 586 BC, so barren that even 100 yrs later, after 50K returned and the Temple rebuilt, entire city still charred (Neh 1:2-3) God did not completely destroy them, but disciplined them according to the measure of their sin.

Vs. 13 Massive "threshing floor" covering full extent Israel. (Beating of stalks and wheat to separate.) In a sense, Trib is a great separation. More than 10 times JC refers to the gathering in of the harvest at His coming. Mt 3:12 JB tells us that "His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." JC tells parable of weeds/wheat and says, Mt 13:30 'Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."'" Mt 13:41 "The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, Mt 24:31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Paul says, 2Th 2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, John sees in Revelation Re 14:18 An angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe." This an age of harvest, seven feasts…7 Feasts…

Joh 6:12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost." (5 barley loaves (grace), 12 baskets of fragments (12=governmental perfection))
