Pastor's Notes

as we get into chapter 24, we get into, really, things that the earth will be facing very soon, because we get into things tha

Told pray “Kingdom come”. When all this over and He established. Now enter new section "Isaiah’s Apocalypse" 24-27. 2700 yr preview. Remind you Tyre…

24:3 Invites (behold) look upon scene of God’s judgment. Principles apply always, come full fruit in Great “Crushing Trouble”, Mt 24:21-22 the most troublesome time mankind’s history and could lead to despair if don’t believe the Bible, which tells us that it is a purification for Mt 24:29-30. One of the reasons so > is worldwide. WWI set precedent thought never see. Whole world, Rv 3:10 . In days Trib whole earth affected. No one insulated. Isa describes as “empty”…This complete desolation is one reasons believe not be here. Lot couldn’t remain in Sodom…Gen 19:22. 2 Pt 2:5-9 Lk 21:36…

25:1a In other words, "I WILL!” Excited about prophecies, but one coming…JC, "I am faithful and true witness" (Rv 3:14). Said to Daniel, "Seal up the prophecy for it is sure." We can praise Him now by faith.

25:4 Isa sees that will judge (and remove) every wicked person and replace them with meek and those who fear Him. Often heard, "God helps those who help themselves". NOT in Bible! Truth is God helps those who can’t help themselves. If feeling poor and needy, then in a good place…

25:5 Isa sees words of threatening and self-exaltation, blown out. No more threatening than rain on a roof. Lord has silenced the ruthless…

25:8a If read and weren’t paying attention, where think reading? 1 Cor 15:55 When honey bee stings, it can never do so again. When death stung Jesus, it lost its stinger for us.

25:9 Promises those who “Kaw-Vaw”

Ps 27:14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Ps 37:9 Those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth.

Ps 37:34 Wait on the LORD, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

Pr 20:22 Do not say, "I will recompense evil"; Wait for the LORD, and He will save you.

Isa 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Isa 49:23 Kings shall be your foster fathers, And their queens your nursing mothers; They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, And lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD, For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me."

La 3:25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.

All go through times when ask ourselves dark questions, "Is all true?" Prophecy helps, but all have to make choice. 1 Peter 1:6-9 Have trust Him even when though haven’t seen.

25:12 Powerful imagery! Hand resting in blessing on Zion and feet trampling Moab in judgment. Only two ultimate relationships with Christ…

24:5

24:3 Mt 24:21-22 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.

Mt 24:29-30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Rv 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Gen 19:22 Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.

2 Pt 2:5-9 did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds) -- then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment

Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

24:5 Rev 6:8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

Rv 9:15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

Zec 13:9 I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, 'This is My people'; And each one will say, 'The LORD is my God.'"

24:6a Rom 8:21-22 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.

Rv 19:2 "For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her."

24:20 Rv 6:13-15 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains

Rv 16:18-20 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Heb 12:26-27 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Hag 2:6 For thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;

1 Pet 1:6-9 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls.
